On August 8, 2010 Crow Farm hosted a gathering of Master Farmer Alumni to present the “New Crow Farm”. Over 80 tour participants visited the Crow Farmstay B&B, Vineyard and Farming operation. They learned of the strategies employed by Roy and Judy to sustain the family farm utilizing argritourism and a new cash crop, the vineyard. Grass Fed Angus Beef have replaced the dairy herd, and the milkhouse and barns are being planned for creating a winery.
In 1996 Roy was honored as a Master Farmer for his dairy practices. This award is presented to a outstanding farmer in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland or Delaware. Roy and the Crows hope that the new strategies being successfully employed at their farm will provide a model for the sustainability of other farms.
