When Crow Farm and Vineyard owner, Judy Crow was asked how successful the grand opening of their new Wine Tasting Room went, she replied "Well let me put it to you this way - every taste led to a purchase of or Crow Vineyard wine."
The sky was beautiful blue and the vines young and green as curious visitors traveled up the farm lane on June 23rd to see if a 3rd generation farming family could pull off quality tasting wines. The response was in the purchase as one after another walked off with a tote bag full of well crafted transforming farm wine. "We wanted to make sure going out of the gate that we made a good wine. We only started with 3 varietals and each is the result of the guidance of our wine consultant, John Levenberg," said Judy Crow the next day after the event - which brought out of area weekenders. "We do like to think that our years of working the farm soils and using best environmental practices has shaped the quality of our product," added Roy Crow.
On Memorial Day weekend, Crow Vineyard & Winery joined other members of the Chesapeake Wine Trail at the annual celebration of the Chestertown Tea Party in the Wine Village to offer tastings and sell wine. They showcased two of their premium summer wines, Vidal Blanc and Rosé.
